City of Refuge | DEAF MINISTRY
RECONCILING A NATION BACK TO GOD THROUGH WORSHIP ARTS
Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. (Psalm 149:2-3 KJV)
Creating an environment that encourages and enables congregants to participate in the worship experience through music, drama and dance.
The Music ministry team sets an atmosphere for worship through song. It includes the praise team—a dedicated group of skilled singers responsible for leading the congregation in thanksgiving, praise and worship; and five choirs:
– The Sanctuary Choir, a collaboration of all choirs that minister on first Sundays
– The Men of the City
– The Women of the City
– The Spirit of David
– P.S.A.L.M.S., the young adult choir that ranges in age from 18 to 35

The Dance ministry team expresses outward praise to God during worship services. It accompanies the music department and offers solo dance presentations by children, youth, women and men who have been trained in dance.
Director: Jeanine Robinson
The Drama ministry team utilizes the arts as a vehicle to bring worship and glory to God. It provides an outlet for those gifted in the performing arts to surrender their gifts to the Lord through dramatic, Christ like expression.
